Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Journey of Hope Community is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Journey of Hope Community of Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins. There is always opportunity to begin or participate in Small Groups, Sunday Services, Wednesday Family Night, etc. Please call Dottie at the Church office and set up a meeting to talk about Ministry opportunities with one of our Staff Members.
Mission Outreach
Journey of Hope is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. One of our Missionaries is a member of our church and is serving in Honduras, his name is Scott Smith and we are very proud of Scott, We help to support other missionaries around the World and most of them visit our church when they have a vacation back here in the States. The Long family are missionaries in Greece, The Owsley family are missionaries to Brazil, the Mellinger family are our missionaries to Europe, The Allen Family is in Mexico, The Adams Family in the Phillipines, and the Webers are in the Middle East. We have a plan to go to Honduras in 2012. If you are interested in going please see Pastor Hank Sower. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister right here in our own community.
Music
God-honoring worship is something we strive for at Journey of Hope Community Church. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. We have two styles of music that we normally have each Sunday Morning in Worship. A “classical style” with piano and church hymns and a “Modern Style” with a Band of instruments and vocals singing modern songs written in a contemporary way. We are always looking for people with musical ability either in voice or for those who play an instrument. Solos and ensembles are always a treat when they occur at Journey of Hope.
